Frydek-Mistek is one of the centres of textile industry that has been influenced by the industrial past. Textile industry focused on cotton and flax has affected the look of some parts of the town and lots of former textile factories have plays a role of local dominants due to their scale and imposing architecture. The book tells readers about a history of local textile production, companies and entrepreneurs, technical and construction development of textile factories and also gives closer insight into buildings and premises that have been suggested for heritage protection. The book contains a register and a map of textile factories and fulling machines in Frydek-Mistek with information about founding and termination of their existence, specification of their production, factory owners etc. In addition to archive and current pictures there is also an axonometry of some buildings nearby railway station. Buildings and premises suggested for heritage protection are accompanied by maps with a scale 1:5000.
