On 9th October the National Museum of Prague have anounced a competition for the architectonic and artistic solution for the Jan Palach Monument in Všetaty. A memorial will be built in the former family house of the Palachs including a new exposition dedicated to this important figure of our history, his life and his sacrifice, and the broader historical circumstances of his act. The National Museum now searches for someone creative, who would transform the original house into a symbolic place commemorating the sacrifice of Jan Palach, turn the adjacent plot into a comtemplative space and also design a new exhibition hall and the spacial solution of the new exhibition.
