V knize vydané k poctě Josefa Sudka (1896–1976), českého fotografa, který se proslavil zejména fotografiemi orosených oken ateliéru, se potkávají texty zahraničních odborníků zabývajících se dlouhodobě tématem fotografické reprodukce uměleckých děl s příspěvky kurátorů a historiků umění, kteří se specializují na fotografickou tvorbu Josefa Sudka. Šíře a hloubka záběru fotografa, pro nějž byla práce na reprodukcích uměleckých děl jedním ze zdrojů obživy, umožňuje hledat odpovědi na řadu důležitých otázek, týkajících se zprostředkování uměleckých děl pomocí fotografie.
